Hello Stranger

She saw the shore coming close. In her mind, she sighed relieved, because she knew she could now be free. Free from her duties. Free from him, whom she didn’t love. Free from being a prisoner without any bars. The Fairy woke from her thoughts as she noticed some movement in the corner of her eye. Before her boat could reach the shore, she was greeted by a visitor. With a few flaps of its wings, a yellow bird landed on the edge of the boat. And fascinated, the Fairy gazed upon it. There was a silence and for a moment, it seemed as if all nature’s sounds had died down. Then, the bird turned its head and its little black eyes met the Fairy’s. The creature had never seen a Fairy before, nor had the Fairy ever met a bird as extraordinary as this one. It brought a light smile to her lips. The bird hopped and turned round to face the Fairy. Its eyes seemed to sparkle. And seconds later, the Fairy could hear words, carried by the wind.
“Hello Stranger..”


It’s been a long while since I last uploaded an artwork.. And it really took me a long time to get back into the “art-flow”, after having such a long break! But I’m happy to tell you guys that I feel very inspired lately So hopefully, more works will follow soon!
